Reader appreciates story, NIE

Bill, thank you for putting the walk-to-school article in. The kids were so excited.

We are also part of the Newspapers In Education (NIE) and they are learning many things from headings, captions, advertisement, where to find the weather and sometimes we just circle adjectives on the front page, or look for nouns and verbs on a different page, then write an accordion paragraph with the words.

The students are also learning more about the demographics of the community in which we live.

We are so blessed to have the Herald's NIE program available in our district. Keep up the good work!
