JON LANE - Reader supports councilmember, brother

I was in Moses Lake last weekend to celebrate my dad's 89th birthday. This was a joyous occasion for my Mom, eight siblings, and our extended family!

I was surprised to discover I gave dad the exact birthday card which one of my brothers had mailed from Colorado. This Hallmark card was perfect for dad because the words say he gave our family a "foundation of strength, integrity and sheltering love." The true sentiments expressed in the verses say he gave us "security, confidence and the knowledge to know what is good and right." I chose this card because I felt it was a perfect expression of how dad and mom raised me, my three sisters, and my five brothers.

As I talked to an older brother, Mayor Jon Lane, of Moses Lake, I realized these character traits and foundational ethics are part of the reason Jon is the best candidate to continue serving City of Moses Lake on the City Council and as mayor if the council members choose to keep him in that position.

Of course, he is my brother and my hero! To put it simply, Jon Lane is a good man! He will continue to serve the citizens of Moses Lake with dedication, humility, foresight, and honor when you cast your vote to re-elect Jon Lane to Moses Lake City Council.
