MATTAWA: Reader concerned with gang violence

I know the area pretty well is especially because last year I worked for the Wahluke School District in Mattawa. I have to say that they song by Tupac, "Why do people die young?" is very true. I grew up in Grant County and it wasn't violent years back then. I moved back last year for a job and the gang activity and violence has sky rocketed and law enforcement cannot keep up. People need to take a stand and take the community back.
