Warden beats Entiat in three games

ENTIAT - The Warden Lady Cougars traveled to Entiat Saturday for 2B volleyball action, and came away with a 3-0 victory (25-7,25-14,25-12) over the Lady Tigers.

The win improves the teams record to 5-2 in league play, and 10-4 overall.

Iris Rodriguez led the way for Warden with nine kills and four aces. Haley Yamane added five aces and 10 assists, Chelsea Brown tallied five aces and eight assists, and Hannah Bisnett finished with five kills and three blocks.

"Entiat is a young and inexperienced team and we did a good job of taking care of the match," coach Dennis Treat said. "We have now completed the first swing through the league plus having played Riverside Christian twice."

The second half of the season gets underway this week when Warden travels to White Swan tonight for a match at 5 p.m., then hosts Lake Roosevelt Thursday.

"Both teams are lurking just behind us in the standings," Treat said. "So we need to come ready to play in order to protect our position."
