ACH Warriors dominate Wellpinit Redskins

COULEE CITY - The Almira-Coulee-Hartline (ACH) Warriors jumped out to a 40-8 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, as the team cruised to a 60-20 win.

Derek Isaak came up big for ACH for the second game in a row, passing for three touchdowns and running for two more in the lopsided win.

"The kids played rally well n both sides of the ball," coach Brandon Walsh said. "Derek led the way for us, but we have several other weapons ... guys on the team, who on any given week, can have a good game for us."

The Redskins put 12 points on the board in the third quarter, while holding ACH to six to close the gap 46-20, but the Warriors responded with 14 in the fourth to walk away win an easy win.

"We took our starters out of the game at the have and put in out younger guys to give them game time experience, but when they scored the second touchdown on an on side kick, I put the fist team back in to shut them down."

The win improves the Warriors record to 6-0 in 1B Northeast play.

ACH steps out of league action Friday when they host the Buckaroos from St. Paul High School in St. Paul, Oregon.

"They are a good football team with a lot of tradition," Walsh said. "We are excited to play them and see what we are made of."

The Warriors get back to league play Oct. 21, when they host Mansfield. The game gets underway at 7 p.m.
