Habitat's Festival of Trees date selected
MOSES LAKE - Habitat for Humanity of Greater Moses Lake has chosen Saturday, Nov. 26, for its annual Festival of Trees auction.
Habitat traditionally selects the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This will be the 17th year for the popular fund-raiser.
The Festival of Trees will celebrated at the ATEC Building at Big Bend Community College. It will include a social hour, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and a silent auction. There will be a short presentation followed by a live auction.
The live auction will include 12 beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Some will have gifts hidden beneath or within the branches. The trees are generally themed.
Last year, the Lioness Club's tree was coffee themed. It had a gift basket of coffee items, coffee makers and gift cards to local coffee shops.
All proceeds from the Festival of Trees go toward Habitat for Humanity's mission of eliminating substandard housing in the community.
