MADE IN THE USA: Worried about lack of USA made products

My husband and I were in Spokane and wanted to buy bath towels so we went to JCPenney we bought six sets. And when we got home we washed and dried them. Wow! You should have seen the lint and they were falling apart before we could use them. So we went looking at the tag. Not made in the US. So we took them back to JCPenney in Kennewick a few days later. The lady was sure they had the towels made in the US. But not one. We checked with: Sears, Macy's Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, ShopCo
