Raymond Donald Mudd
Raymond Donald Mudd went home to be with his Savior on September 27, 2011. He was born in Electric City, Washington on May 20, 1938. He was born to Raymond and Helen Mudd. He went to school and graduated from Grand Coulee Dam High School. He started his career as a Disk Jockey while still in high school. He had a diverse field of interests and career choices including owning his own real estate brokerage business in Moses Lake for many years, and participated in numerous health care businesses as well, always with a desire to help others.
He was involved with various community organizations and participated in Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters, ministerial engagements including teaching Bible School, youth and Adult Sunday School classes, Board of Realtors, served as Deacon and counselor to many. He spent many years bringing the gospel to adults and children alike.
He prided himself in serving, teaching, worshiping, witnessing and preaching God's word, promises and blessings. His heart was most happy when serving others and truly lived his life for his family and friends. He was a member of the First Assembly of Payson.
In February of 1958 he married Dixie Diane Wilkinson. They lived in Wenatchee, Moses Lake and Renton, Washington until moving to Gilbert, Arizona. He moved to Tri-Cities, Washington in 2008 to be nearer to his family.
He loved to paint, entertain, sing, listen to music, take photographs, go four-wheeling, share stories, hiking, cooking, fishing, gardening, traveling to the ocean with his family, spending time in his scriptural readings, flying kites, sailing, family gatherings and found great comfort in his friends and family. He lived a very large and colorful life.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dixie, his sister May, his parents, Raymond & Helen Mudd. He is survived by three daughters, Heidi Kendall (Ed), Mary Riffe (Patricia), Bonnie Thompson (Bill), five grandchildren, Tiffani Thompson, Crystal Smith, LaDonna Kendall (Justin), DixieRay Kendall, Kyle Kendall, and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Smith and Maddox Olson.
