Othello Huskies stomp East Valley Red Devils

OTHELLO - The Othello Huskies started strong in the first half of the football game against the East Valley Red Devils Friday to establish a 30-0 lead.

The Huskies' offense slowed in the second half to a running touchdown each quarter.

The Red Devils fought back to score on a 22 yard pass from Brian Bender to Kris Janis, but a two-point conversion failed.

Othello's David Garza completed seven of 16 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for two more as the Huskies cruised to an easy win over the Red Devils in CWAC 2A action Friday.

Othello's defense also had a hand in the scoring frenzy as they put two points on the board with a safety.

The Huskie ground attack tallied 194 yards on 31 carries. The win improves Othello's record to 3-1 in league play.
