Emergency preparedness fair slated in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE - Grant County Emergency Management will have an emergency preparedness fair here on Thusday, Oct. 6.
The fair will be held from 2-7 p.m. at the ATEC Building at Big Bend Community College at 7611 Bolling Street NE.
According to GCEM Information Officer Kyle Foreman, agencies which can help people be prepared for emergencies at home, at work or on the road will be on hand.
Displays and presentations will deal with such topics as family emergency plans, 72-hour preparedness kits, water and food storage and winter weather preparedness.
The National Weather Service will provide free weather spotter training from 5-7 p.m., teaching citizens and public safety officials how to recognize and report significant weather events.
