Odessa-Harrington season ends at Lions Field

MOSES LAKE - Jared King threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for two more, but it wasn't enough to lead the Titans to a victory over Neah Bay.
Three costly turnovers were the nemesis for Odessa-Harrington as the team dug itself a hole it could not get out of.
The Titans fell behind early when the Red Devils Michael Dulik recovered an OH fumble and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown and a 6-0.
To make matters worse, the ensuing kickoff was muffed and recovered by DeShawn Halttunen for another score to put Neah Bay up 12-0, before the Odessa-Harrington knew what hit them.
The Titans settled down and managed to put 20 points on the board in the first quarter of play, but the Red Devils added 24 of their own to take a 36-20 lead as time expired.
Neah Bay put 14 points on the scoreboard in the second quarter on two long TD runs by Tyler McCaulley, to lay 50 on the Titans, but Odessa-Harrington got another touchdown on a screen pass from King to Cade Weber and a 2-point conversion by King to close the gap to 50-28 to end the first half of scoring.
Odessa-Harrington looked as though they were going to make a game of it, as the team scored on its first possession of the third quarter to get back into contention, 50-34.
But the Red Devils ran off 24 unanswered points to invoke the 40-point mercy rule and win the game, 74-34.
The victory by Neah Bay sets up a showdown with Almira/Coulee-Hartline at the Grid Iron Classic in Tacoma Friday for the 1B state championship.
The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
