She was born in Alva, Oklahoma to Charles and Bertha Galloway April 28, 1932. Joan was the youngest of three children. She is survived by her brother, Bill Galloway (Bend, Oregon), and preceded in death by her sister, Vola Sires. They resided in Oklahoma until 1947 when the family moved to Yakima, Washington at the age of fifteen. This is when she met the love of her life, Russell Rogers at the local roller skating rink. This was one of their favorite pastimes during their teen years. They were married on November 4, 1950. They shared sixty-one loving years of marriage. Joan and Russ have two children, Connie (Gene) Huberdeau and Scott (Lynn) Rogers all of Moses Lake. Her grandchildren are: Brandon (Genny), Jeremy (Ivy), Dustin Huberdeau, Chadd, Brittany, Austin, Taya Rogers, Jenny and Emily Wentworth. Great Grandchildren: Erick, Kameron, Isabella, Carson Huberdeau, and Jaden Snyder. Her family was her life joy! She was so proud of all of them.

Joan attended Moses Lake Alliance Church for many years. She had many special friends whom she cared deeply for. Joan was always known as a gentle, thoughtful, caring person. She always found good in everyone she met!

In the past she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, crafts, holiday cooking, collecting dolls and angels. Although, spending time with family was her greatest joy.

A special thanks to Joan's niece Theresa, Dr. Warner and staff, radiology staff, and oncology staff at Moses Lake Clinic for their kindness and support to her and our family.

In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1337, Moses Lake, WA 98837 or Central Basin Home Health & Hospice, 311 W. Third Ave., Moses Lake, WA 98837
