ROYAL CITY - As of Friday afternoon, the investigation of the Oct. 24 police shooting in Royal City remains incomplete.

According to spokesman Kyle Foreman, the Columbia Basin Investigative Team was still waiting for the results from the final forensic analysis.

"Once that analysis report is received, investigators will compile all their information and present it to the prosecutor, Foreman.

The CBIT is investigating the shooting death of a man by Royal City Police Officer Rey Rodriguez during a domestic violence incident.

After the investigation is complete, the county prosecutor must determine if Rodriguez was justified in his actions.
