Teacher expresses thanks for newspaper

I am writing to thank you for your generosity in donating a bundle of newspapers to my classroom on a weekly basis. These newspapers are used for various educational activities. First and foremost, the students obtain an understanding of how to read a newspaper and begin to understand how to read for current events.

We also use the newspapers for various math activities and to practice new reading skills. The students enjoy practicing skills with the newspapers and they also connect how the skills are related to the real world. The Newspaper In Education program allows students ample opportunities to practice essential skills needed for life. Thank you very much.
