Messers to celebrate 74th anniversary on Thanksgiving

ROYAL CITY - Paul and Mary Messer, residents of Royal City from 1971-2008, will celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary in Shoreline on Thanksgiving Day.

The Messers were married in Glen Ullin, North Dakota on Nov. 24, 1937. They live at Cristwood Nursing Center in Shoreline near children and grandchildren.

The Messers moved to Washington in 1969 and to Royal City in 1971. They have 14 children, 45 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

The children are Isabelle Roth of Silverdale, Barbara Hegel of Yakima, Jerome Messer of Moses Lake, MaryAnn Geck of Selah, Helen Kohler (deceased), Joseph Messer (deceased), Michael Messer of Moses Lake, Ruth Martin of Naches, Jane Steele of Edmonds, Frances Rodgers of Selah, Jacob Messer of Edmonds, Julie Messer of Des Moines, Paul J. Messer of Edmonds and Paulette Perdue of Othello.
