EPHRATA - An Ephrata man was injured in a one-vehicle crash on northbound state Route 17, about 10 miles north of Moses Lake.

Sean K. Exeter, 21, was driving a 1992 Cadillac four door car north on SR 17 Friday at about 3 p.m. when he reportedly fell asleep and struck a guardrail, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Exeter was reportedly injured and transported by aid to Samaritan Hospital.

The cause of the collision is being investigated, but the Washington State Patrol did say drugs or alcohol were determined to be a factor in the crash. Charges are pending.
