Donald Chenault
Donald Louis Chenault, 73, longtime Moses Lake resident, died Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee, Wash. Donald was born March 4, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Sylvester Lee Chenault, Sr. and Artie Marie (Morton) Chenault.
After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served valiantly until his Honorable Discharge. He later became a chef and worked in many restaurants in Cincinnati. He lived in Florida and Georgia until he made Moses Lake his home.
He was a member of New Bride Baptist Church and New Light Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking for the churches and his family. Donald enjoyed walking all around town and fishing whenever he could. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Donald leaves behind 2 children, Donald Jr. and Rosie from Ohio and 5 step-children, Deborah, Tony, Loretta, Felicia and Viondi; 3 brothers and 1 sister, Michael, Robert and Harry Chenault and Shirly Crawford, all of Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grand and great-grandchildren and many friends.
Donald was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Louise, 3 brothers Sylvester, Daniel and Jerry, two sisters Janet and Joyce and nephew Patrick.
Donald will be truly missed and remembered in the hearts of all those who came to know and love him.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 in Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 1905 W. Basin St., Moses Lake, Wash. He will be laid to rest in Cincinnati, Ohio.
