I want to express my support for Dick Deane in his re-election big for our city council. Most folks in our community have never attended a city council meeting so when election time comes, they are just looking at names on a page. As vice chair of our parks and recreation commission, I have worked closely with our city council members and have been impressed with the level of community commitment that Mr. Deane brings to the bench. He is one of the few councilmen I've worked with that actually asks for, appreciates, and listens to, your opinion. I'm sure you've read about his years of service to Moses Lake, from teacher and coach to parks commissioner and now city councilman, Mr. Deane has a long-standing history of voting for what will be best for us in the long term. Serving in any public capacity is a thankless job. No matter how you vote on an issue, you'll upset somebody. But it's great to know we have Mr. Deane on our council, who will weigh the good, the bad, and the ugly before giving his yea or nay. I have known Mr. Deane for more than 25 years and marvel at his energy to do the right thing. As long as Mr. Deane wants to hold his council position, I believe we are lucky to have him there. I encourage you to support Dick Deane in his re-election to the Moses Lake City Council. Thank you, Mr. Deane, for all you do.
