MOSES LAKE - Kimberly Bradford, 44, Soap Lake, died from a stab wound to the abdomen in her Soap Lake home May 22.

Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison conducted an autopsy Wednesday and determined the cause of death and indicated it was homicide.

"She has an obvious stab wound to the abdomen. How it happened and who did it, I don't know," said Grant County Sheriff's Det. Ryan Rectenwald.

Soap Lake police were called to the residence on Division Street and found Bradford dead, according to Rectenwald.

The Grant County Major Crimes Unit began investigating the death once she was found and scheduled the autopsy.

"Any death like that, you treat as a worse case scenario, and start working," said Rectenwald. "To me, it looked obvious, but you have to wait for the classification by the coroner."

Rectenwald said he was unable to release further details about Bradford's death.

"I'm pretty confident we will make an arrest out of it," said Rectenwald.
