Tigers 8th, Huskies 10th in final standings

SPANAWAY - Andre Whalen ended up tied for fourth place at the Class 2A state finals to help Ephrata's Tigers to an eighth place finish yesterday at the Classic Golf Course.

Whalen shot a day two score of 75 to finish with a 154 score, 11 strokes behind Blaine's Ryan Wallen who won the title.

Whalen was joined Mattias Dilling who shot a two-day 175 to help push Ephrata to 38 points. Interlake won the state title with 108 points.

Othello finished in 10th with 23.5 points as Sam Para led the way with a 163 score, good enough for a team-high tie for 25th place.

Jared Kummer shot a 167 (T-34th place) and Colton Hall knocked in a 172 score (T-38th) to aid the Huskies' cause.
