Schools hope to e-mail parents

| May 25, 2011 6:00 AM

ROYAL CITY - In an effort to get information out to parents more effectively and quickly, the Royal School District has sent home with students flyers that ask parents for e-mail addresses.

"E-mail has become an efficient way of distributing important school news," Superintendent Rose Search wrote. "We would welcome your e-mail address, but you are not required to give it  to us."

Parents who wish to receive school news and important school notices electronically may send their e-mail addresses to:

Red Rock Elementary, [email protected].

Royal Middle School, [email protected].

Royal High School, [email protected].

If you have children attending at more than one building, you are asked to send your e-mail address to each of the buildings involved.

Currently Red Rock uses a "Tuesday folder" which is sent home with students. The middle and high schools rely on regular mail, notices taken home by students and word of mouth.
