Dale Alton Story

Dale Alton Story, born November 1, 1921 to Wilma (Harris) and Walter Story in Grand Junction, MI, passed away May 19, 2011 in Spokane, WA.

Dale served in the U.S. Air Force with the 8th Air Force 446th bomb group in England during WW II. He retired from the Air Force Reserve in 1975 at the rank of Lt. Colonel.

Dale worked for General Electric for 30 years and retired in 1981.

He is survived by his brother, Merle Story of Salem, OR, sisters Carol Zehe of Redmond OR and Lola Brice of Reno, NV, daughters Diane (Dan) Cook of Blanchard, MI, and Katheryn (Lee) Skogen of Midland, MI, son David (Karen) Story of Bluffton, IN, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Claire (Harrigan) Story, wife, Vivian (Walcutt) Story, special lady friend Frances Walker, brother, Robert Story, and sister Mary Taylor.

A Memorial service was held Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the Hearthstone Retirement Inn in Moses Lake.
