Youth Outdoors Unlimited welcomes their next hunter
Youth Outdoors Unlimited is excited to welcome their next hunter into the Y.O.U. family. Justin Ristine from Lake Stevens will be hunting this fall with Youth Outdoors Unlimited. Justin was born with one arm, but continues to be a great example of how you can learn to do anything in life that you choose, it just may require some creativity.
In talking with Justin's mom, Jennifer, she was telling me that Justin can do anything. Apparently he is an accomplished guitar player, left arm and right foot. Like all of our youth, Justin just wants to enjoy hunting. Youth Outdoors Unlimited is here to help all youth like Spencer and Justin experience the great world of hunting and fishing.
The Y.O.U. directors and our youth want to personally invite all of the readers to meet them on Saturday, May 21 in Wilson Creek. Wilson Creek is where Y.O.U. started and the landowners there are very excited to provide some of our youth a place to successfully hunt this fall and in the future.
We will be working with the boys in the morning on their shooting skills and then spending the day in the park welcoming all who can come by to visit with them or our staff to learn more about how you can enjoy this journey with us.
Our goal as an organization is to show these youth, even with a disability, how they can enjoy the world of hunting and fishing even if it requires some modification. We will be barbecuing hot dogs for anyone who wants to stop by from 1 to 5 p.m., all ages welcome.
At 7 p.m. we encourage you to join us at The Harvest Moon in Wilson Creek where "Free Beer Nuts" will be performing a benefit concert for Youth Outdoors Unlimited. If you are over 21, please come enjoy some music and meet these amazing parents who have raised these youth to not be limited by hurdles but overcome them. There will be a $4.00 cover charge at the door.
If you truly want to be inspired then you have to meet our youth. We guarantee you will find what true desire to accomplish something really means.
