The 2011 Rod Meseberg Spring Walleye Classic
This year 67 teams competed in our Walleye Tournament. The net monies from our event are used by our non-profit 501-C3 to buy components to build Habitat Boxes to improve fishing for generations to come. For more info please visit www.cwfac.org.
On day one only five of the 67 teams did not weigh a walleye. This is the lowest percentage of teams getting skunked in our history of the tournament. 440 fish were weighed for an average of 2.4 lbs per fish.
Jeff and Jordan Reeder, a father and son team, won this years competition with 34.16 lbs of Walleye. They fished the Crab Creek area between the Power Line Boat Launch area and the outlet of Moses Lake into Potholes Reservoir. They used Mustad Slow Death Hooks with a night crawler.
