EAST WENATCEE - The Warden Cougars play Kittitas tomorrow at 1 p.m. in East Wenatchee for a district title after bombing Riverside Christian 15-0 in Saturday's semifinal game at Eastmont High School.

Warden (18-3) were keyed by the two-hit winning pitching performance by Marcelo Pruneda and a 10-run first inning.

"The 10-run first inning really put the game away for us and set the tone for Marcelo to continue doing what he has all season for us," Warden head coach Dan Caballero said. "He did a great job of keeping the ball down and our defense got a lot of work.  I was really happy that our kids stayed focused through the whole game and didn't let up after such a big first inning."

Derek Pruneda, Ty Jesse, Jacob Yamane, and Garritt Marks all had two hits each, while Cruz Pruneda trumped them all with a 3-for-3 outing.

Jesse, Yamane, and Marks all had two RBIs apiece.

"Everyone in our line up had a hit," Caballero said. "This was the 4th time facing Riverside Christian this season so we were expecting a good game but after the 10 runs we scored in the first it took the wind out of their sails."

Tomorrow's game at Eastmont High School will determine the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds out of the district when both squads head into the Class 2B state playoff rounds.
