Sheriff holds meeting tonight

MOSES LAKE - Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones plans to meet with residents in Moses Lake tonight.

The sheriff is holding his second town hall meeting at 7 p.m. in the Huck Fuller building at the Grant County Fairgrounds. 

The first meeting was held in George.

Jones told the crowd of about 80 people in George, the meetings are meant to put a face with a name and help him partner with the community. The meetings also give him a chance to inform the community on items happening in the county and what the sheriff's office is doing. 

"Overall, the town hall meetings give us all the opportunity to build relationships and help live up to the sheriff's office's mission to work in cooperation with the communities we serve," Jones stated.

Jones said he wants input from county residents and the office can't operate without help.
