SUMMARY PUBLICATION AN ORDINANCE AMENDING OTHELLO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 9.36.010 TITLED “DESIGNATED” REGARDING DESIGNATED TRUCK ROUTES

In accordance with RCW 35A.12.160, the following is a summary of Othello Ordinance No. 1343, passed by the City Council and approved by Mayor Tim Wilson on the 25th of April, 2011. The full text may be mailed, free of charge, to any person requesting a copy.

SUMMARY

The Ordinance designates the following streets inside the city limits to be motor truck routes: Broadway Ave., between Hwy 26 and the north city limits; Columbia, Wahluke, Royal and Scooteny Streets between Broadway Ave. and 1st Avenue; all streets south of Hwy. 26, between the south city limits and Hwy. 26; and 1st Ave., between  Hwy. 26 and Scooteny Street; Main Street at Broadway Avenue west to City limits, and Main Street east of Highway 17. It also restricts truck traffic on Main Street to local deliveries only.
