MOSES LAKE - Budget cuts are forcing the Grant County Health District to prioritize programs and activities in the future, and Information Officer Theresa Fuller says the district would like your help.

The health district will host forums called "A Conversation on Public Health" at several locations in the coming month. There will be one at the Wahluke High School Commons in Mattawa on April 19 and another at the Red Rock Elementary gym at Royal City on April 20.

Attendees at these sessions will be asked to offer their suggestions and ideas for public health. The health district will kick things off with data about trends in public health and accomplishments of the GCHD.

"We'd like to know if you want to see us at your table (of discussion of health issues)," Fuller said. "Would you like to see us in your restaurants (inspecting) more often?"

All of the forums are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
