MOSES LAKE - State Rep. Judy Warnick, R-Moses Lake, is expected to be released from the hospital Monday after receiving an injury from a fall from a horse.

Warnick has been in the hospital since Saturday when her horse bucked and she fell during a ride in Moses Lake, said Sarah Lamb, the House Republican's public information officer.

"I was in a horse accident this weekend and broke my pelvis in two places. I was taken to the emergency room at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake," Warnick wrote in an update. "From there, I was taken to Spokane. I am so appreciative of all the care I received at both facilities! The doctors decided I do not need surgery, which is good news. I will be recovering for some time, and have a set of wheels around with me."

Lamb said the representative hopes to return to Olympia by Friday. Until then she is being excused from votes.

"We have a lot of members that are providing back up," Lamb said. "The biggest thing is the capital budget is coming. We may have to have our assistant ranking Republican present it."
