MOSES LAKE - Michael J. Montejano, 20, Moses Lake, was arrested by Moses Lake police Tuesday night for attempted murder.

"Officers driving around basically came across the subject in the car, made a traffic stop and arrested him," said police Capt. Dave Sands.

Police released a picture to the public of Montejano on Monday in hopes of locating him.

Two nights earlier, police responded to a report of three people, injured by shotgun pellets, being treated at Samaritan Hospital.

The victims are a 20-year-old Hispanic man, a 17-year-old white female and a 16-year-old Hispanic male, according to police.

A group of people came to a house on South Division Street and had a dispute with another group. The suspect allegedly was in the residence and fired several rounds from a shotgun at the group outside.

"It is safe to say it was a gang-related incident," said Sands.
