Karen Yvonne Wilcock

Joining her family in heaven, Karen Yvonne Wilcock left her family on earth on March 7, 2011 in Ogden, Utah where she resided after her marriage to Robert Jackson Wilcock in 1958. Karen graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1957. She was born in Redfield, South Dakota on September 14, 1939, and is the second daughter of Edward Leonard Ehlert and Wilma June Caldwell Ehlert.

Karen was employed at the Ogden, Utah IRS for over 33 years, receiving many service awards. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, gardening, reading, crocheting, but especially concentrated on helping others. Karen was very independent, and raised her three children after her husband died April 7, 1971. Her entire life was devoted to her family.

Surviving are her children: Wendy (Mark) Jones of New Mexico, Robert Jackson (Heidi) Wilcock of North Ogden, and nine grandchildren. Descendants also include four great-grandchildren, and sisters: Jeanette (Ralph)Enzler, Moses Lake; Doris (Bob) Gordon, Polson, MT; Genene Ratsch, Centralia; and Roxann (Larry) Veden, Moses Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and first-born son, Mark Edward.
