High school tennis: WILSON CREEK 3-1, Oroville 0-4

WILSON CREEK - Thanks to two forfeits and a Sergio Alvarez victory in singles, the Wilson Creek Devils boys defeated Oroville 3-0 on Tuesday.

The girls team, however, dropped a 4-1 decision to Oroville, as Caroline Kiesl's win at No, 1 singles was the only team point earned that day.

Alvarez won 7-6 (5), 7-5, at No. 1 singles, while Kiesl won her match at the same ladder position, 6-1, 6-3.

"Caroline is playing well and stroking well, it was a good win for her tonight," Wilson Creek Mike Ottis said. "It was also a big win for Sergio and a boost of confidence for him."
