March 24, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Grape Drive Chapel, The Church of

Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 925 N. Grape Drive, Moses Lake,

WA. Arrangements are in care of Carver Family Funeral Home.

Melanie L. Plaisted, 26, Loon Lake, WA, former longtime Moses Lake resident, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, March 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Grape Drive Chapel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 925 N. Grape Drive, Moses Lake, WA. Arrangements are in care of Carver Family Funeral Home.

Melanie was born July 17, 1984, in Moses Lake, WA where she resided until three years ago, when she moved to Loon Lake, WA so she could be closer to her mother and step-father. Her greatest joy in life was her four children. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and reading a good book.

She is survived by her fiance Jerod Pulliam, four young children, Daija, Jada, Julian, and Zarek; her mother and step-father, Doreen and Troy Callahan; her father and step-mother, Jeff and Tracy Plaisted; grandparents, Melvin and Jeanne Plaisted and Wayne and Peggy Callahan; one sister, Shauna (Clint) Lozar; four brothers, Kurtis (Annalise) Plaisted, Brian (Courtney) Plaisted, Austin (Stephanie) Plaisted, and Jordan (Jocelan) Plaisted; 4 nieces (Aubree, Maggie, Makenzie, Isabella) and 13 nephews (Zach, Tiegan, Dallin, Ty, Skyler, Carter, Caleb, Kaidence, Gaige, Braxton, Cameron, Justin, Jaxson); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, including her extended family in Northern Ireland.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Charlotte McBrinn and her nephew, Aiden Plaisted.

You will forever dance in our hearts. We love you Mel.
