Lady Cougars play well again

WARDEN - Sage Hills was also the site of a strong performance, this one by the Warden Lady Cougars' golf team.

Yet, with a premature ending due to darkness, they were able to beat up on Riverside Christian by scoring a 623 to their guests' 762.

Unfortunately, the premature end denied the team an individual record.

Lara Crow stood at a score of 93 after 17 holes when darkness kept her from playing the final hole and making a move on the team course record of 95. Darkness kept her from teeing off on the par 3 fourth hole.

Other top Warden finishes were made by Taylor Edson (100), Carter Marks (105), Jessica Haynes (102, 17 holes), and Brittany Stavig (106, 17 holes).

"The team as a whole played very well," Warden head coach Myrtle Voss said. "Some of the girls played their first 18 of the year."
