Bouncing back from a disappointing opening day defeat, the Chiefs rallied to show the fans and opponents what they are made of with a sweep of three games this weekend.

They wrapped up play with an 11-10 win over Mt. Si and a 16-5 win over Decatur at Eastmont High School on Saturday to go along with an impressive 12-0 thrashing of visiting Lewis and Clark on Friday at Larson Field.

Against Mt. Si, the Chiefs (3-1) won in a wild one as they scored at least one run in every inning including a game-winning solo score in the seventh.

Alex Jones went 3-fo-4 with three RBI and a highlight reel home run, while Brianna Hoffman ended up 3-for-3 to aid the Chiefs' cause.

In the win over Decatur, the Chiefs cruised from the onset and were led by Tasha Gentry's 4-for-4 performance which included three RBI, Katie Martinez's 3-for-4 outburst, and Hoffman's 4-for-4 game that included four RBI.

"It was a great team effort with 16 kids and with everyone in the lineup getting at least one hit," Moses Lake head coach Dave Gregory said. "Our bats really came alive."

Haylie Van Laethem pitched for both win striking out 16 batters over 14 innings.

She also earned the shut out win on Friday  and also helped her cause offensively with a 4-for-4 performance which included a double.

The Chiefs scored three runs in the first, which included freshman Hallie Bishop's lead off home run.

They then cemented the rout with a nine-run fifth inning.

Gentry went 3-for-4 with two RBI, Jones went 2-for-3 with four RBI, and Tessa Radach ended up 2-for-4 with a triple, double, and two RBI.
