Notice of Application Proposed SEPA DNS

Notice is hereby given that a SEPA Checklist was received by Grant County on March 8, 2011 from Weyns Farms, 8289 Kulm Road, Othello, WA  99344, (509) 346-9352.  DESIGNATED CONTACT:  Jamie Washburn, Teton West of WA, 5802 N Industrial Way-Suite A, Pasco, WA  99301, (509) 543-9510; and were found to be technically complete on March 16, 2011.   Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared.  This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures.  A copy

 of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request.  PROJECT:  This proposal is to construct three (3) 165-ft x 226-ft onion storage sheds on a 104.53 acre parcel.  ZONING: Agriculture.  ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: Building Permit.  STUDIES SUBMITTED: None.  CONSISTENCY STATEMENT:  This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with the Grant County Code, International Building Code and International Fire Code.  LOCATION: The subject parcel lies easterly of Road "H" SE and northerly of Road 12 SE, Royal City, WA.  That portion of Farm Unit 76, Irrigation Block 87 Columbia Basin Project, lying in the east one half of the southwest one quarter of Section 33, Township 17 N, Range 28 E, W.M., Grant County, WA.  PUBLIC HEARING:  None.  Copies of the application materials for File #11-5543 are available from RoseMary Dart, Assistant Planner at the Grant County Planning Department at 457 1st Avenue NW, P.O. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 620; office hours are 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm, Monday - Friday.  Comments must be submitted no later than 5 pm April 5, 2011 to the Planning Department.  All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile.  All persons, agencies or tribes have the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code.
