Seep lake's fishing report near Mardon Resort

MARDON RESORT - Below is a list of the seep lakes near MarDon Resort and the fish available in their waters.

HAMPTON LOWER - rainbow, no gasoline motors allowed, rough boat launch, open April 1st - September 30th. Developed access area.

HAMPTON UPPER - rainbow up to 26" in the spring of '99.  On March 13, 19989 Mr. Ravencroft caught a 10 lb 13 oz rainbow.  No gasoline powered motors allowed.  April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

HARRIS-DESERT WILDLIFE LAKES RECREATION AREA - rainbow trout and spiney ray.  Walk in only. Open all year.

HAYES CREEK - largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

HEART - rainbow, Triploid steelhead planted in 1998, rehabbed in 1997.  Developed access area. Open all year.

HERMAN - rainbow, great lake to bow and arrow fish for carp.  April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

HOURGLASS - (in Pillar-Widgeon Group) trout, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

HUTCHINSON - all game fish, no gas powered boats allowed.  Rough boat launch.  This lake was rehabbed in 1998 after installing barriers to keep the carp out.  Carp rut in the shallows, which destroys the spawning habitat of the Spiny Ray.  Open April 1st - September 30th.  Developed access area.

JANET - rainbows.  Walk in only. Open all year.

JUNE - rainbows.  Walk in only. Open all year.

JUVENILE - trout, anglers under 15 years only, April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

KATY - rainbows.  Walk in only. Open all year.

LEMNA - (in Pillar-Widgeon group) rainbows, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only. Open all year.

LOIS -rainbow.  Walk in only. Open all year.

LONG - (on irrigation canal) rainbows, walleye, large and small mouth bass, crappie, perch, bluegill, whitefish.  Developed access area. Open all year.

LYLE - rainbow and good bow and arrow fishing for Carp.  Developed access area.  Open April 1st - September 30th.

MARCO POLO - rainbow.  Walk in only. Open all year.

MIGRAINE - (bottom of Soda) very slow fishing.  Walk in only. Open all year.

MARSH UNIT 1 & 2 - CLOSED-NOT STOCKED

MCMANNAMON - rainbow and cutthroat, rehabbed in 1998, open April 1st  - September 30th, short walk.  Walk in only.

MORGAN - rainbow and cutthroat, open April 1st - September 30th.  Private shoreline, accessible vial Halfmoon Lake only.  Walk in only.

PARA- trout, Juvenile anglers under 15 years only, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

PILLAR - rainbows, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

PIT - rainbows.  Walk in only. Private land, access in question. Open all year.

POACHER - (in Pillar-Widgeon group) trout, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

QUAIL - rainbows, catch and release, fly fishing, only artificial flies with a single barbed hook, use of motors prohibited, rehabbed in 1998.  Walk in only. Open all year.

ROYAL LAKE AND SLOUGH - (including Marsh Unit 4 impoundments) CLOSED NOT STOCKED.

SAGE - rainbows, German Browns.  Walk in only. Open all year.

SAGO - (in Pillar Widgeon group) trout, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

SCAUP - (connected to Chukar) rainbows.  Walk in only. Open all year.

SHINER - (connected to Hutchison) large mouth bass, bluegill, no gasoline powered boats allowed.  Open April 1st - September 30th.

SHOOFLY - large mouth bass, bluegill, perch, but has tendency to winter kill.  Open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only. Open all year.

SHOVELER - (in Pillar Widgeon group) trout, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

SNIPE - (in Pillar Widgeon group) trout, open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.  SODA - spiny rays, walleye, large and small mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, perch, whitefish, trout (on irrigation canal).  Developed access area. Open all year.

SUSAN - rainbow, rough boat launch.  Developed access area. Open all year. 

TEAL (North and South) - rainbows, small spiny rays, April 1st - September 30th.  Developed access area.

THREAD - (outlet of Lyle Lake) large mouth bass, perch, poor fishing for rainbows, April 1st - September 30th.  Developed access area.

VIRGIN LAKE - rainbows. Walk in only. Open all year.

WARDEN AND SOUTH WARDEN - rainbows and German Browns rehabbed in 1998 with 10,000 catch able German Browns and 40,000 rainbows, open last Saturday of April - September 30th.  Developed access area.

WIDGEON - (in Pillar Widgeon group) - trout open April 1st - September 30th.  Walk in only.

WINDMILL - rainbows, handicapped fishing access.  Developed access area. Open all year.

POTHOLES RESERVOIR - walleye, large and small mouth bass, trout, perch, crappie, and bluegill.  Developed access area. Open all year.
