Clara T. Trout

Clara Thena Trout, 89, of Bellevue, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011 in Stafford County, VA with her children by her side.

Clara was born on June 5, 1921 to the late Albert and Jenny Everson on the family farm near Oakville. She graduated from Oakville High School in 1939. She and her husband, Harry, lived in Houquaim, Soap Lake and Bellevue during Harry's years with People's National Bank of Washington. Clara worked as a secretary to the assistant principal of Tyee Junior High School in Bellevue. In 2009 she moved to Stafford, VA to live with her daughter after suffering a stroke.

Clara was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and large family. She was an avid golfer and was famous for her Angel food cakes and fruit pies.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Bingay and her husband, Charles, of Stafford, VA; her son, Robert Trout and his wife, Jill, of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Matthew Bingay and his wife, Karen, of Harrisonburg, VA, Kathryn Matthews and her husband, Jason, of Gig Harbor, Eric Trout and Lian Run Trout, of Denver, CO; her great-grandchildren, Abby and Henry Matthews and Alex Bingay; her sisters-in-law, Betty and Pearl Everson; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harry A. Trout; six brothers; and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Wynoochee Cemetery in Montesano.
