Head coach: Myrtle Voss (10th year)

2010 overall record:  11-1

2010 league record: 11-1

2010 postseason: District champions, five state qualifiers

Number of returnees:  Nine

ROSTER: SENIORS - Lara Crow, Carter Marks, and Brittany Stavig; JUNIORS - Chelsea Brown, Taylor Edson, and Jessica Haynes.

OUTLOOK: Moving from Class 1A to 2B will present new challenges for coach Voss and her Lady Cougars but make no mistake the team will be ready as four returning state qualifiers are once again in the fold.

"This years team should be one of the best teams that I have ever coached," Voss said. "They have the drive and ambition to go far.  With the four returning state vets I am looking forward to an outstanding year."

The new district will feature a plethora of squads that Warden usually hasn't competed against after years in the South Central Athletic Conference.

Warden has plenty of returning experience but an influx of six freshmen could give the program a shot of talented youth.

"My freshmen have a lot of energy and drive as well," Voss said. "This should be an awesome year."

Crow, Marks, Edson and Stavig are all state qualifiers from 2010 that are pushing each other hard in practice.

"They challenge each other and their positions can change many times," Voss said. "I also have a couple of freshmen that are ready to give the older girls a run for their money. They have golfed previously, and have the ability to become varsity as well. Stay tuned."
