Edith Hodson

Edith Hodson, 91, a resident of Moses Lake passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at her home with her loving family at her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Center, 1515 S. Division, Moses Lake. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 3rd at Kayser's Chapel. Interment will follow at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L N.E., Moses Lake. Edith was born on December 13, 1919 in Basalt, Idaho and was raised with her siblings by her mother. She enjoyed cooking and started work in a grocery store bakery. Later she became a cook for the Moses Lake School District spending most of her 20 plus years at Peninsula school. Her greatest love was spending time with family and several social events with her many friends. She had varied hobbies including, crocheting, dancing, fishing and gardening.

Edith was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1st Ward in Moses Lake and held several callings in her life.

She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette & (George) Tilley, Royal City, WA; three sons, Dennis & (Diane) Hodson, Highland, UT, Brent & (Brenda) Hodson, Sammamish, WA and Gayle Hodson, Bothel, WA; grandchildren, Tammy, Troy, Shannon, Dain, Brian, Eric, Marc, Ben, Bridgette, Brittany, Brett, Bryant, Brad and Don; 32 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don W. Hodson, one daughter, Carol, two brothers, and three sisters.
