Michael Anothy Besancon

Michael Anthony Besancon, 48, born on March 14, 1962, in Odessa, WA. Michael graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1980. His first job was working for his father at Basin Asphalt in Moses Lake. There he found his life's passion in the rock crushing phase. Throughout his rock crushing career he worked for Inland Asphalt and Central Premix of Spokane , WA.

Mike married the love of his life, Shelly Stevens on May 18, 1996. They had two beautiful children, Michaela (age 13), and Steven (age 10).

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Irene Voise; and his brother-in-law, Calvin Stevens. He leaves behind his wife, Shelly; his two children, Michaela and Steven; his loving parents, Archie and Shirley Besancon; sister Gena (Ron) Slagg of Yakima. He is also survived by his wife's family and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He loved to camp, go boating with his family and relax in his hot tub. He was our original "Camper Dan." He was well known for his ability to build or fix anything and often said, "The only thing I can't weld is the crack of dawn and a broken heart."

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Chattaroy Community Church, 3711 E Chattaroy Rd, Chattaroy, WA, at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to assist the family can be made at any Wells Fargo branch.
