Parade planned at Desert Aire

| June 29, 2011 6:15 AM

DESERT AIRE - The annual Desert Aire Decorated Golf Car Parade will be held on the streets of the community on Monday, July 4, starting at 4 p.m.

The parade will follow the annual Firecracker Scramble at the golf course that morning. It should feature about 40 golf cars, according to Sagebrush Senior Center President Jackie Bardwell.

"They will all be decorated, and all of them should have American flags," Bardwell said. "Most will throw out candy."

The day will include a classic car show at the senior center that will be open to the public. Anyone can bring a car to show.

The afternoon will start with root beer floats for $1 each at the senior center.
