City of Mattawa to invest funds

MATTAWA - The Mattawa City Council voted at its last meeting, on June 16, to used the local government investment pool to invest City of Mattawa funds while they are unspent, according to Finance Officer Diane Martinez.

The council also passed a resolution designating the Mattawa Area News as its newspaper of record. It was the only paper to make a proposal, Martinez said.

Public Works Director Gary Crowder was authorized by the council to purchase asphalt to do hot patches where needed on Mattawa streets. Mayor Judy Esser suggested he look for the best price offered in Grant County.
