Quincy Valley Women's Day scheduled for July 9

QUINCY - The Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce has organized the first annual Quincy Valley Women's Day for July 9 in the gym of the Quincy Valley School at 1804 13th Ave. SW.

"This event is intended to bring together the women of the Quincy Valley, women visiting Quincy Valley and our local businesses," said Karen Vizena of the Chamber.

Women's Day, scheduled for 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., gives business owners an opportunity to showcase their products and/or services.

"It's kind of one-stop shopping so (the attendees) can see what our valley has to offer," Vizena said.

Vizena noted the vendors at Women's Day provide products and services geared toward women. They include health and fitness, clothing, specialty foods, jewelry, kitchen items, entertainment, outdoor venues, bed and breakfasts, financial planning and more.

Vizena said The Grainery will offer goodies and drinks in the kitchen. Local wineries will be represented.
