Quincy driver involved in collision

WENATCHEE - A two-vehicle collision occurred two miles northeast of Wenatchee and involved a Quincy man.

The collision sent one driver to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Luz T. Alejandrez, 57, Quincy, was merging from state Route 97 onto eastbound state Route 2 when the four-door Mercury Sable he was driving collided with a Dodge pickup driven by Andrew W. Botts, 24, Wenatchee, on Monday.

Botts was transported by ambulance to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee for a reporter sore neck and cut to his hand.

Alejandrez was cited for failure to yield, according to the state patrol.

Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts.
