Newest habitat home dedicated
The newest Habitat for Humanity of Greater Moses Lake home owners accept the keys to their home.
MOSES LAKE - Habitat for Humanity of Greater Moses Lake recently dedicated its tenth home.
The new homeowners, Rick, Liz and their four children, helped to the build home as part of the Habitat for Humanity program. Prospective homeowners must put in a minimum of 450 hours of sweat equity during the building process.
"I can't thank you enough for everything. This home means so much to me and my family. There are just too many people to thank, so I'm saying thanks to everyone," Rick stated.
Don Key, co-president of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Moses Lake, praised Rick for his efforts during the building process.
"While each prospective Habitat for Humanity homeowner is required to put in at least 450 hours of sweaty equity into building their home, Rick has gone far and above that requirement. Rick wanted a home for his wife and children and did not stop at putting in thousands of hours to make that requirement," Key stated.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Moses Lake is in the process of building its eleventh home.
