Child run over by van, dies

MOSES LAKE - A 20-month-old boy died after a mobile food service van rolled backwards and over the child Thursday night.

The vehicle was being repaired at a home on Bong Loop in the Larson Subdivision north of Moses Lake, Grant County Chief Deputy Ryan Rectenwald stated Friday afternoon.

The child was transported by private vehicle to Samaritan Hospital and pronounced dead.

An autopsy is to be completed on the child and an investigation continues.

No further information was available from the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
