MOSES LAKE - Former Othello resident Emily Braunwart was recently hired as the Grant County Economic Development Council's (EDC) accountant.

She replaces Amanda Pruneda, now working as human resources director at Inland Oil Company in Ephrata.

Braunwart, 26, holds a bachelor's degree in financial economics from Western Washington University.

Her work experience includes employment with a Portland financial investment firm and ProGene Plant Research in Othello as a financial analyst.

At the EDC, her duties include managing the investor/partner contracts for membership dues and accounting records and handling record keeping.

She is most looking forward to knowing the people of Grant County and welcoming new business to the area, she stated.

Her goals are being "able to understand the overall business economics of Grant County, which will allow me to offer a greater contribution to businesses in the area and those interested in coming to Grant County," she commented.
