DeLeeuw, Linder score in May 31 women's golf
CRESCENT BAR - Margaret Linder and Wilma DeLeeuw were the big names in women's day golf at the Crescent Bar Golf Course on May 31.
Linder won first place gross with 108, first place net with 56 and the game of the day with 34 in the second division. The game of the day was best score on odd-numbered holes.
DeLeeuw won the first division closest-to-the-pin (KP) with and effort of 25-10. She had a chip-in on hole No. 13 and won game of the day with 32.4.
Mary Woolverton won division 1 long putt with an effort of 5-2.5. She had a chip-in on hole No.16.
Linda Hayes won division 2 KP with a shot of 7-8. She had chip-ins on holes Nos. 12 and 18.
Another two-time winner was Wendy Smith. She chipped in on hole No. 5 and made birdie on the same hole.
Mavis Bennett had the winning gross score of 100 in division 1. Jan Harris had the winning net score of 78 in the second division. Laurie Leahy won KP on hole No. 3.
