MOSES LAKE - What started off as one sport's focus has become an entire Moses Lake High School sports program boon over the past two decades-plus.

So in anticipation of the 2011-12 athletic calendar, the MLHS athletic administration wants to remind its potential future athletes that Tuesday will be Physical Nigh at the high school commons starting at 6 p.m.

The cost is $15 per athlete and over 15 doctors have volunteered this year to help out which should lessen the wait time per each family that attends.

No insurance will be accepted and all checks must be made out to ML Booster Club.

Due to the anticipated high number of athletes the Chiefs program expects, the evening will be run on a schedule based on the students' last name. The schedule is as follows:

*5:45, A-B-C-D-E.

*6:00 F-G-H

*6:15 I-J-K-L

*6:25 M-N-O-P

*6:35 Q-R-S-T

*6:45 U-V-W-X-Y-Z

All those who miss their assigned time can still show up at 7 p.m. to be seen by a doctor that night.

All needed paperwork can be picked up from the school's front office or can be downloaded from their website - chiefathletics.org.

The school is trying to reduce waste and save money so they will not be mailing out packets this year.

According to Athletic Administration Secretary Fran Christensen, the physical night started with the football team and coach Greg Kittrell. However, due to its success, she decided to take the project over and invite all sports to participate.
